Mama's Laundry

Mama's Laundry is a laundry pickup and delivery service operating in Mykonos, Greece. We are the data controller for the personal information you provide when placing an order.

When you place a pickup request we collect:

• Your name and phone number
• Your email address (optional — used only to send you a confirmation)
• Your hotel name or where you are staying and a map location pin (latitude & longitude)
• Service details — service type, number of bags, preferred pickup date
• Any notes you add to your order
• Your confirmation that you have read this policy and the timestamp of your request

If your hotel places the order for you, the hotel's staff enter your name, phone number and any notes (such as your room number) on your behalf.

We do not collect payment information or any data beyond what is listed above. Hotel partners who use our portal have a login account (email address and password) with us.

Your data is used solely to fulfill your laundry pickup and delivery order — to contact you, locate your pickup point, and coordinate the service. We do not use it for marketing, profiling, or any automated decision-making.

We keep your personal data for 12 months after your order is delivered (or 12 months after it was placed, if it is cancelled), so we can handle questions, complaints or lost items about past orders. Orders that are never completed are cleared at the latest 18 months after they were placed. After that, your name, phone number, email address, location and notes are automatically deleted and replaced with anonymised placeholders. The order record itself (service type, bag count, dates, status) is kept for operational and accounting purposes.

We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers or data brokers. To run the service we use these providers (processors), who handle data only on our instructions:

• Supabase — database where orders are stored (hosted in the EU).
• Vercel Inc. — hosts this website and processes your request when you submit the form.
• Our email provider — delivers the order confirmation and our internal order notification.
• Google (Google Maps) — shows the map and address search on the order form. Google receives your IP address and what you search for or where you place the pin.
• Your hotel — if you order through a partner hotel, that hotel can see the orders placed for its guests.

Vercel and Google are US companies, so your data may be transferred to the United States. These transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Greek data protection law you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate data
• Deletion — ask us to erase your personal data
• Restriction — ask us to limit how we process your data
• Objection — object to our processing of your data
• Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format

To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@mykonos-laundry.com with your name and phone number so we can locate your record. We will respond within 30 days.

We process your data because it is necessary to carry out the service you requested (contract, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). When a hotel orders on your behalf, we rely on our legitimate interest in fulfilling the order the hotel arranged for you (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object at any time by contacting us.

This policy is governed by EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and Greek Law 4624/2019. If you believe we have not handled your data correctly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
